Dine and Drive
Written by Administrator Saturday, 24 September 2011 21:11
As the temps turn to the cooler side and the leaves begin to change their colors, it's once again time for our annual Dine and Drive. All the details can be found in the Events section of the site. The route that has been laid out is full of nice twists and turns and hills, to let you fully appreciate the suspension design of your Benz. Last year we had 10 cars show up. There was everything from a new SL to a vintage 1972 600 SWB. So, set aside the 22nd of Oct. to join us as we drive through the "CT Triangle", see the events section of this site for more details.
See you then.

I hope that everyone faired out ok through Irene. As I have mentioned in the newsletter, if there ever was a time to help out a fellow club member, it probably be now. Last week we hedl our 3rd Annual Club Day at the Fairfield Concours d'Elgance. I want to thank everyone that came out, the weather could not have been more perfect. For those that could not attend, possibly next year. Derek Teeking's 1972 600 SWB won People's Choice and was invited to return the next day to be on the showfield for the actual Conours event. Just a little trivia about the 600. The SWB stands for "short wheel base", yet it is literally 18 ft long. You see, the SWB is "short" compared to the "big car" the Pullman 600, which is 20 ft long. Anyways, I again want to thank those in attendance, and hope to see you again next year. Speaking of the year, it is almost over already. We have only 2 more events for the year. We have our annual Dine and Drive in Oct. and then the Holiday party in Dec. We are already putting together next year's schedule of events. So be on the look out for those.
As always, happy motoring.
