Join us for a uniquely delicious road trip as we make our way to the Wiseman Chocolate Factory in Hico, and see how they make their fine chocolates.  The tour will include a chocolate "history lesson" and a chocolate tasting. We will also have a facility tour and see where the chocolate is made.  Each person will also receive a $5 coupon during the tour which can be applied to a purchase of $10 or more at the Wiseman retail store a few blocks away, which we will also visit.

 

Our lunch destination will be the upscale Riverhouse Grill in Glen Rose.  Elegant but casual, the restaurant occupies the original Milam House built 1903, and still in excellent condition. The chef serves excellent dishes prepared with the freshest ingredients. This first-class venue promises a unique luncheon experience in small-town Texas. 

Menu (lunch, tax and gratuity are included in the event fee below):
    1) House Salad - mixed greens with tomatoes, cucumber and carrots tossed in balsamic vinaigrette.

    2) Choice of:

        a) Chicken Pasta - grilled chicken tossed with artichokes, capers, tomatoes, and mushrooms in a parmesan cream sauce.

        b) Fried Catfish - dusted with cornmeal and black sesame seeds, then deep fried.  Served with fries and coleslaw.
        c) Black Angus Tenderloin Chicken-Fried Steak.  Served with mashed potatoes, vegetables, and homemade bacon gravy.

    3) Coffee, Tea or Soft Drink

Cost and Signup:

The fee includes lunch at the Riverhouse Grill and the Chocolate Tour cost.  We will charge an event fee of $30 for each MBCA member and their immediate family members.  Non-members are welcome, and will be charged $35 each.  Please register and send your event fee as soon as possible so we can provide a good headcount to the restaurant. You have 2 ways to pay:

 

1) To pay the event fee online using your credit card ($30 per member, $35 per non-member):

Meeting Place:
At 9:45am (come earlier if you wish to have breakfast), we will meet for a briefing at the Cracker Barrel at 8010 SW Loop 820, Fort Worth (I-20 and Winscott Road, west of Fort Worth), (817) 249-3360 ‎(see map below).  We will depart immediately after the briefing.  Our first destination will be the Riverhouse Grill in Glen Rose for lunch, then we will proceed to Hico for our Chocolate Tour.
