Photos! - Do-It-Yourself Tech Session at Park
Place - June 18, 2005
Our section held its first-ever Do-It-Yourself tech session at Park
Place Mid-Cities. Thanks first and foremost to Park Place Motorcars for
making this happen, and to North Texas Section officers for all their
guidance and help in making this a smooth and successful
event.
Sixteen cars participated from both Fort Worth and North Texas sections. Nine cars went into the shop, and others came to see old friends and to see what was going on. One member drove his '68 280SL 90 miles to get there. Another member forgot to claim his discount for prior service, so we sent him back to the cashier, and he got his $80. A non-member who was paying for services saw our name tags, searched us out, filled out an application form and paid her dues. Park Place immediately applied the discount. Overall, it appeared that all participants were either able to do work on their cars, or at least learn more about their cars. Park Place techs were as cooperative as ever. They gave up their day off and were running around all over the place trying to help our folks. These guys are tremendous people. Please tell them so. As a customer and an MBCA member, I am proud and happy that Park Place has such people who will work on my cars. Our thanks go to Jay Warner, Jimmy Bryant and his team of techs. Park Place has a truly magnificent service facility and staffed it with great people. Six of us capped the event with a nice (and heavy) lunch at nearby Hoffbrau Steak House. Below is a pictorial of the event. Enjoy! DJ de Jesus Fort Worth Section |
