Join us for a guided tour of the Cavanaugh Flight Museum, dedicated to preserving America's aviation heritage. See its splendid collection of nearly 50 beautifully preserved vintage aircraft, which are housed in 4 hangars on Addison Airport. The collection covers the World War I era to the Vietnam war. Ninety percent of the aircraft are in flyable condition, and are featured in air shows throughout the country. Our guide will address each specific aircraft's place in history.
Our route to Addison will take us through fine neighborhoods north and east of Fort Worth, and thus avoid the typical construction and traffic bottlenecks as we travel northeast from Fort Worth. After our museum visit, we will proceed to Addison's restaurant row, park in a strategic spot, and each attendee can enjoy lunch in a restaurant of his or her choosing. We can dine individually or in groups. Lunch is optional.

The museum will charge a group rate of $8 per person for groups of 20 or more. Group rate for seniors (65 and over) is $5.60 per person Pay for your own museum admission and lunch.
Where and When:
At 8:30am on Saturday, August 25, we will meet at the Starbucks on 3030 Western Center Boulevard, Fort Worth - (817) 232-9527. See map below. Coming from downtown Fort Worth on I-35W heading North, exit Western Center Blvd then turn left. Enter the shopping strip on the left. You will see Joe's Crab Shack on the same strip - park at Joe's parking lot. Come earlier if you wish to have breakfast on your own - there is a Whataburger, a McDonald's, and a Waffle House within walking distance of the Starbucks. We will depart for Addison immediately after a short briefing.
