"NEXT to NORMAL": One of the most talked about shows on Broadway is the groundbreaking musical “ Next to Normal”.  From the director of “ Rent”, this Tony Award- and Pulitzer Prize-winning rock musical "pushes Broadway in new directions" ( Rolling Stone ). With a thrilling contemporary score by Brian Yorkey and Tom Kitt, “ Next to Normal” is an emotional powerhouse of a musical about a family trying to take care of themselves and each other. “It is much more than a feel-good musical; it is a feel-everything musical.” (The New York Times)

Immediately following the show we will enjoy cocktails and a superb dinner at MASA , just one block away from The Boston Center for the Arts. Serving a sophisticated Southwestern Menu, MASA was named winner of the Open Table.com Diner's Choice Award for 2011.

MEMBER COST : A ridiculously super value at only $50.00 per person (thanks to a matching contribution from the MBCA-MINUTEMAN SECTION).

There is limited seating for only 60 people and reservations will be on a first-come first-served basis.

Hurry, this event annually sells out quickly, so send in your reservations now! (A Section member may invite no more than 1 non-member guest to accompany them. Preference given to Members.)

Theatre tickets and directions will be mailed out in mid March, but please include an E- MAIL address in your reply for confirmation and a Self Addressed Stamped Envelope for mailing the tickets.

This will be the only notice of the event; do not delay your reservation.

European Auto Solutions (EAS) Technical Session

For those of you who were at last years event, EAS has a treat in store. Last July EAS moved into it's new state of the art facility
at 1486 Main St. Waltham, MA. . With 2 acres of parking and a door for each lift, this facility enables a better work flow along with
ease of parking for customers. It also has allowed EAS to offer more services for their customers.

As always each member will have his car put on a lift where EAS' Technicians will inspect the car and provide a list
of needed repairs. Members who schedule appointments on the day of the event will receive a 10% discount on the listed repairs!

The event will also feature a Raffle and Peoples Choice Car Show.

European Auto Solutions is a longtime supporter of the Minuteman Section, including Title Sponsor of Farberallye and Classes
and Trophies at Germanfest.

Hardwick Winery Caravan Followed by Lunch at the Steaming Tender

Meet at Ernie & Bonnie Fancy's new house, 1 Butterworth Rd, Holland, MA any time from 9:30 until 10:30 AM for coffee and pastries before starting out along winding scenic back roads to the Hardwick Winery.

We will leave for the winery at 10:45 a.m. sharp.

After touring the winery and sampling the wines, we will go on to Palmer, Ma to the Steaming Tender Restaurant. The Steaming Tender is situated in the old Palmer Railroad Station, once the third largest train station in Massachusetts. The building, designed by H. H. Richardson, was in danger of being torn down when it was purchased, fully restored and turned into a restaurant. It was featured on Chronicle in 2012 and on Good Morning America in 2008. Pick from the menu, individual checks.

Arrive at 3:30 p.m. for a 4:00 p.m. Departure

Ken Bourque's Nautical Cruise presented by AlphaCars

This year's Nautical Cruise will be held on Sunday August 12th. We will cruise on the Schooner Fame for a two-hour sail around Salem and Marblehead harbors and the islands. Snacks, soft drinks, beer and wine will be sold on board, and passengers are welcome to bring their own snacks. However, coolers, glass bottles, and alcoholic beverages may NOT be brought aboard.

Arrive at 3:30 for a 4:00 p.m. departure from the Pickering Wharf. Free parking is available curb side on Congress Street and in a parking lot off this street, and there is also paid parking in a building at the corner of Congress and Derby Streets.

Afterwards, we will dine at (tbd) at 6:15 p.m.

The boat accommodates 40 people.

Germanfest XXVI presented by Intercity Lines

Join us on Sunday, September 16th for a great day of competition and fun as Mercedes-Benz owners come out to show off their "pride and joy" amongst the company of fellow MB enthusiasts for a day of great cars and great fun. Germanfest XXVI is held on the grand lawn of the Larz Anderson Museum of Transportation in Brookline MA.

Registration
Registration opens at 8:00 a.m. Registration takes place on the day of the event. The registration fee remains $20.

Rags Down
Judging begins at 11:00 a.m. at which time "rags down" will be announced halting further "cleaning" of vehicles. For those who do not wish to have their car judged, you may register to enter the field as "display only"; registration fee applies. Arrivals after 11:00 a.m. are entered as "display only".

Awards
First, second, and third place awards are given out in 12 classes and 5 trophies are awarded for the finest and most unusual cars entered.
