As the Niagara Section of the MBCA continues to flourish and grow it is an honor to have been elected to serve as your new President.
Our club and its members consistently work to improve the image and appeal of the club to attract even more members. Almost since its founding back in 1999 by then President, Herb Fischer, we have been actively involved in recruitment, retention and member participation through our diverse activities and events based on the interests of our various members.
While ownership and advocacy of the Mercedes marquis are the common threads that bring us together it is really the sincere sense of friendship and fun that keeps us coming back year after year. Events that include car shows, driver safety courses, road rallies, excursions to and tours of local museums and other mostly historical attractions, brunches, dinner parties, chili and wine tasting are often suggested and/or planned by you, our members.
We hold the distinction of being one of the few sections that conduct monthly board meetings that are open to our membership. The meetings are held the third Tuesday of each month September thru May. We meet in a local restaurant (announced in our newsletter and web site) at 6:30 pm. If you haven’t attended one of these meetings in the past, we urge you to come on out, and feel free to bring a friend.
If you have questions or would like to know more about the club or our section, give me or one of your officers a call.
To join the MBCA and the Niagara Section contact one of your local officers, a member you may know or link to the national MBCA Membership page above.
I hope to see all of you many times in the days ahead.
Bill Fix, President, Niagara Section
