Our Food ‘n’ Fun Poker Rally took us to Tolar, TX on this fine summer day. Sixteen members and their 7 cars met at the Cracker Barrel in Benbrook to kick off the event with a briefing and to receive their first poker card.  We began our country drive and stopped at Godley High School, where the second card was handed out.  Our next stop and rest break was at the Exxon travel center just outside Glen Rose where we drew the third card.  The owner was adamant to have his and the manager’s picture taken with us and our cars before we left.We took a little detour to the Tolar Windmill Farm for our next poker stop.  The farm is home to around 30 restored windmills (and others in work) on the 26-acre property.  We were fortunate to run into the owners, Chuck & Ruby Rickgauer, who showed us their most prized windmills, some originally made in the early 1900’s.Our final destination was Garcia's Mexican Restaurant in Tolar.  Some members BYOB’d to enjoy a nice Tex-Mex lunch with their favorite libation. The last poker card was handed out and members exchanged cards in a last-minute effort to improve their hands. The winners took home prizes from the Mercedes-Benz Collection.  They were:Best Hand, Don Gormley, Mercedes-Benz Wall ClockSecond, Dan Patz, Sprinter Socket, and Screwdriver SetThird, Judy Popham, Mercedes-Benz Star Wine Stopper.
