Join club members for a drive along the Columbia Gorge Scenic Highway, ending at Maryhill Winery in Goldendale, Washington.
We will meet at the Lewis & Clark State Recreation Area parking lot in Troutdale. Please arrive no later than 9:45 AM on Saturday, October 12th because we will leave at 10:00 AM . The rec area is exit 18 on I-84.
We will drive eastward through the Columbia Gorge, following the Historic Route 30 Highway as much as practical. Our ending point is the Maryhill Winery, east of The Dalles along Washington State Route 14 on the north side of the Columbia River. The drive is approximately 2 ½ hours. Maryhill Winery offers wine tasting, and lite food such as salads, pizza, and sandwiches. It’s a fine spot for lunch after an enjoyable drive through the Gorge. Down the road from the winery is the Maryhill Museum of Art. It contains paintings, sculpture and artifacts of European, American, and Native American origins.
