The Mississippi section of the Mercedes Benz Club Of America drove down the Natches Trace to Fishers Ferry Road and onto Vicksburg Mississippi on 14 March 2020. We toured the lower Mississippi River Museum and we were very impressed with the exhibits and the facilities! One of the exhibits featured a decommissioned tug boat that was one of the most interesting exhibit at the museum. You could wander all over the tug from the engine room to the pilot House and see how life on a tugboat was lived in the 60s and 70s on the Mississippi river. For lunch we went across the street to Rusty's Riverfront Grill and had a terrific variety of menu items to choose from in a relaxing comfortable atmosphere. On the drive home we heading south on Highway 61 to Port Gibson past their beautiful courthouse and then took rural Highway 552 out past Windsor ruins the abandoned remains of a great antebellum mansion. The road home was a drivers delight and we thoroughly enjoyed our beautiful day in Central Mississippi.
